APNA Meeting 12/11: DUSK Festival, Armory Park, and More!
The Armory Park Neighborhood Association monthly meeting is Tuesday 12/11 at St. Andrew’s Church. Come and hear what’s going on in the neighborhood!
Page Repp, the DUSK festival director, will be doing a presentation regarding the festival and answer questions.
Greg Jackson from the City Manager’s Office, and Steve Kozachik, Ward 6 Councilman, will discuss and field questions about Armory Park, the permit process for happenings at Armory Park, and its use and potential upgrades (Prop 407 monies and Rio Nuevo).
There will also be a presentation on the new Brush and Bulky program and updates on the Holiday party and Holiday decorations contest.
A Day in the Park with the Tucson Police 12/8/18
Please join the Tucson Police Department for “A Day in the Park with TPD” this Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm at Santa Rita Park. They will be in the park with several different static displays from their SWAT Team, Bomb Squad, Rapid Response Team, K9 and others. Tucson Fire Department will also be in attendance with one of their Engine trucks.
Food and activities will be on hand for everyone. Please come by and thank the police department for their service!

El Tour de Tucson Is Coming Up!

The 36th annual El Tour de Tucson is Saturday, November 17. We all know what that means: lots of bikes, and closed streets. Here’s the info you need to know:
General Membership Meeting 11/13/18
Tuesday at 7 PM we’re having a general neighborhood meeting at St Andrew’s Parish Hall. The top topic: Deciding the membership of next year’s Neighborhood Association and Historic Zone Advisory Boards. We’ll also hear about the latest in neighborhood news and developments!
Dusk Music Festival at Armory Park
Heads up! The DUSK Music Festival will take place in Armory Park this coming weekend, November 10 and 11. This is a TICKETED event, so Armory Park and the surrounding streets will be pretty much closed off to people not going to the concert.

Election Day Is Tuesday!
Tucson giving free rides on Election Day

Can’t get to the polls on your own? The City of Tucson will be offering free rides on certain public transportation on Election Day. Happening on Tuesday, Nov. 6, Sun Tran, Sun Van, Sun Link, and Sun Express will all be free to ride, a city official confirmed to Tucson News Now. However, Sun Shuttle and Sun Shuttle Dial-a-Ride services will not be included in the free transportation day participation. You can find your designated polling place on the Pima County Recorder’s Office website (https://www.recorder.pima.gov/VoterStats/PollingInfo). Although polling places are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day, free rides will be offered all day on the listed public transportation places.
