A message from Lead Police Officer Joseph Gradias, Tucson Police Department:
Greetings NextDoor and City of Tucson Residents. The Tucson Police Department is proud to announce that we have partnered with National Association of Town Watch/National Night Out to bring you, Dog Walker Watch!
What is Dog Walker Watch, you may ask? Well, Dog Walker Watch is a crime awareness program designed for neighbors who are familiar with their community and out in the neighborhood on a regular basis anyway, whether walking with or without a dog. Dog Walker Watch encourages these neighbors to assist local law enforcement as extra eyes and ears while out walking their dog in the ongoing community-policing efforts.
I will be hosting an informational training presentation at the Patrick K. Hardesty Multi-Service Center, located at 1100 S. Alvernon Way, in the front conference room from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, September 1st, 2018. I encourage any neighborhood association leader or active community member who wishes to get their neighborhood started to attend.
If you can’t make this meeting, don’t be discouraged, because we plan to have several more presentations in the near future. Thank you and hope to see you there!
