Committees

Committee work may be hard. It is also fun and rewarding, it doesn’t require a huge time commitment, it’s a great way to get to know your neighbors better, and it helps make Armory Park a better place. Please consider participating! Our committees and contact information are listed below.

Membership
Membership  keeps track of dues and donations and current information on all APNA members. Want to join APNA? Don’t know whether you already are a member? Want to make a tax-deductible donation to APNA? Contact Phyllis Factor .

Communications
The Communications Committee works on increasing community involvement and interaction. We have this website, a listserv, and a Facebook page.

Civic Engagement
APNA works with the Downtown Neighborhoods and Residents Council (DNaRC), Tucson Residents for Responsive Government (TRRG), other neighborhood associations, and the City of Tucson to advance Armory Park’s interests.

Development
Development keeps us up-to-date on major proposed projects within Armory Park and surrounding areas, including Planned Area Development and Redevelopment Plans (PADs) and the downtown Infill Incentive District (IID), so you don’t have to!

Sidewalk Committee
In Armory Park, even our sidewalks are historic! We have underway a funded project to repair or replace Armory Park sidewalks.

Social
Who doesn’t love a party? We have front porch potlucks, an occasional ice cream social, an annual holiday party, a holiday decorating contest, and other social events throughout the year.

Security & Crime
While we are lucky to live in a low-crime area, that doesn’t mean we don’t have issues that concern all of us. APNA keeps on top of potential issues.
